DUSHANBE, 24.03.2022 (NIAT Khovar) — On March 22, the Permanent Mission of Tajikistan to the United Nations in collaboration with representatives of Afghanistan, Iran, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Iraq, Turkmenistan, Turkey and Uzbekistan have jointly organized a virtual event dedicated to the International Nowruz Holiday at the UN.
Permanent Representative of Tajikistan to the UN Jonibek Hikmat delivered a speech about the history and importance of the ancient holiday of our ancestors in the revival and preservation of the identity and national values of Tajikistan and the region as a whole.

The event was also attended by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, President of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly Abdullah Shahid, President of the UN Economic and Social Council Collen Vixen Kelapile who congratulated the ambassadors of the UN member states on this occasion.
