DUSHANBE, 01.04.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – The current global situation has a serious impact on the economic and social situation on all countries, including Tajikistan. This was stated by President Emomali Rahmon in his address on the occasion of the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan.
“This year will be the most difficult for humanity in all respects, and above all, in terms of ensuring food security,” he said.
According to him, in such conditions “it is necessary to be united, support each other in difficult times, not panic, be thrifty and vigilant.”
Emomali Rahmon said that in conditions when the political, military, economic and social situation in the world is extremely tense and critical, it is important to work hard.
He assured that the government is now taking the necessary measures to protect the economy and the population, using all available resources and opportunities.
He noted that this year the month of Ramadan falls on the period of the beginning of spring sowing.
“This means that we must effectively use every favorable spring day, expand sowing crops and other agricultural work,” he added.
Emomali Rahmon noted that farmers, as well as every family should attach great importance to the efficient use of land in order to ensure the abundance of agricultural products in consumer markets.
“We must use every favorable spring day to complete the sowing campaign in a timely manner and lay the foundation for a rich harvest. Remember that every family needs to stock up on food for two years,” he said.
Rahmon also noted that citizens have already become convinced of the effectiveness of food supplies during the pandemic.
According to him, today it is also necessary to pay attention to this and take measures that citizens do not face any difficulties and do not suffer from food shortages or rising food prices.
President Emomali Rahmon also concluded that, according to experts, the consequences of this extremely sensitive period of the crisis are unpredictable and long-term.
