Dushanbe Hosts CIS Ministerial Council Meeting

DUSHANBE, 13.05.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, Dushanbe hosted the spring meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the CIS, which was attended by foreign ministers of the Commonwealth countries and the Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee — Executive Secretary.
The ministers held a detailed exchange of views on topical issues of the regional and international agenda.
The meeting also in detail focused on the current steps to deepen practical relations in all key areas of cooperation in accordance with the priorities of Kazakhstan’s chairmanship in the CIS.

The ministers highly appreciated the practice of holding consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Commonwealth format, which contribute to the implementation and coordination of joint efforts in all areas of activity.
The ministers agreed on the consistent implementation of the action program to enhance the participation of the ministries of foreign affairs.

Following the meeting, 11 decisions were signed.
The next meeting of the CIS ministerial council will be held on October 13 this year in Nur-Sultan.
