Tajik and Chinese Foreign Ministries Sign Cooperation Program for 2023-2024

DUSHANBE, 01.08.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, the ministries of foreign affairs of Tajikistan and China signed Cooperation Program for 2023-2024. This document was signed at the meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirojiddin Muhriddin with a member of the State Council, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, who is in Tajikistan with an official visit.
The meeting focused on a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation, the implementation of the agreements reached by the leaders of the two countries during the meeting on the sidelines of the Winter Olympic Games in Beijing in February 2022, regional security issues, the state and prospects of bilateral interactions.
The ministers also exchanged views on topical regional and international issues, cooperation within the framework of international and regional organizations, in particular the UN, the SCO, as well as within the framework of the Central Asia + China format.
They also agreed to continue to strengthen cooperation in the political, economic and investment, transport, agricultural and health sectors, as well as in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

The foreign ministers also took part in the opening ceremony of the Tajikistan and China Center of experience and professional education and training of specialists — the workshop “Liu Bang,” as well as in the ceremony of the official allocation by the Chinese side of 5 million doses of vaccines against COVID-19.
