Tajik Prime Minister Receives Secretary General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf

DUSHANBE, 02.08.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, Prime Minister Kohir Rasulzoda received the Secretary General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf Dr. Nayef Falah al-Hajraf.
The meeting focused on the role of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf in strengthening and expanding multifaceted cooperation between Tajikistan and the countries of the Gulf basin, conducting a strategic dialogue of the Cooperation Council with the countries of Central Asia and creating a new model of multilateral cooperation with the Arab countries of the Gulf, economic and trade cooperation, investments, energy, mining, industry, agriculture, banking, tourism, roads and transportation, rise of terrorism, extremism, smuggling and illegal arms and drug trafficking.
In addition, the parties drew attention to the issues of expanding integration in areas of mutual interest.
Rasulzoda emphasized that Tajikistan has established a comprehensive relationship with the Arab countries of the Gulf basin and in cooperation with financial institutions is expanding the implementation of projects.
The parties also noted the importance of signing a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan and the General Secretariat of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf in the process of strengthening bilateral cooperation.
