DUSHANBE, 20.09.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Regarding the interview by the Secretary of the Kyrgyz Security Council Marat Imankulov on September 19, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan states that such allegations made on the basis of falsifications, distortions of facts, as well as misinformation are intended to mislead the public of both countries.
“The responsibility for the consequences of such false statements, capable of inflaming the situation in these difficult times for both our people, rests on the conscience of their authors,” reads the message.
In this regard, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterates Tajikistan’s position on the inadmissibility of the escalation of tensions in the media space.
Welcoming the signing of the protocol on the settlement of the situation on the border by the heads of state security agencies of the two countries on September 19, the Tajik side believes that its strict observance will allow the resumption of the negotiation process on the entire range of issues on the bilateral agenda.
