DUSHANBE, 21.12.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – National Assembly adopted amendments to the Customs Code, which simplifies the import of auto parts into the country. Based on the exemptions, a number of goods are now exempt from duties for an unlimited period of time.
The new preferential category includes some products for automotive equipment, including spare parts for agricultural machinery, as well as for the modernization of cars and trucks.
According to the Chairman of the Committee for Economics and Communications of the national Assembly Sharifjon Jumazoda, during the submission of the amendments, Article 345 of the current code has been prepared in a new edition. It establishes an exact list of imported goods exempt from customs duty.
The change in the law also guarantees participants in foreign economic activity the right to independently recalculate and adjust previously paid duties and taxes.
