Tajikistan and Turkiye Discuss Issues of Combating Transnational Organized Crime

DUSHANBE, 04.05.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – On May 2, the Prosecutor General of Tajikistan Yusuf Rahmon met in Turkiye with the Prosecutor General of this country Bekir Shahin.
The meeting focused on cooperation between the prosecutor’s offices of states in the field of joint fight against crime, especially terrorism and extremism, drug trafficking, transnational organized crime and the issue of recognizing dangerous organizations as terrorist on each other’s territory.
The parties also discussed the continuation of the fruitful practice of exchanging operational data and direct counteraction to negative phenomena, including the prevention of informal religious education, the adoption of operational-search measures, the provision of legal assistance in criminal cases, the extradition of criminals, the extradition of convicts and other important issues of the field.
