Tajik and Pakistani Prime Ministers Meet in Dushanbe

DUSHANBE, 03.07.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, as part of an official visit to Tajikistan, the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif met with the Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda.
The parties discussed the level of bilateral relations and expressed interest in strengthening integration in the fields of energy, industry, roads and transport, agriculture, science, education and culture.
It was reported that in 2023 the trade turnover between Tajikistan and Pakistan amounted to $52.7 million, an increase of 62.2% compared to 2022.
It was also considered necessary to strengthen multilateral cooperation within the framework of the United Nations, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Economic Cooperation Organization.
