CGTN Journalists Explore Tajikistan’s Natural and Infrastructural Development as Part of Central Asia Media Tour

DUSHANBE, 31.05.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – As previously reported, a delegation of journalists has arrived in the Republic of Tajikistan as part of the international media tour titled “The Great Journey Across Central Asia.” The delegation includes Fayzali Kurbonzoda, a correspondent from NIAT “Khovar,” and a journalist from China’s CGTN television network.
On May 30, the Chinese journalists traveled by electric vehicles from Dushanbe to the Darvoz District in the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region. During the journey, they observed the ongoing construction of highways and tunnels, which are being developed under the framework of Tajik-Chinese cooperation.
As part of their familiarization visit, the media representatives toured the scenic “Chorchaman” tourist zone in the Darvoz District. The journalists expressed admiration for Tajikistan’s breathtaking natural beauty, highlighting its rich natural resources, fresh air, mild climate, and crystal-clear mountain rivers. In their words, Tajikistan rightfully deserves recognition as one of the most beautiful countries in the world.
The guests were particularly moved by the traditional Tajik hospitality and the warm welcome extended by local residents. The journalists conveyed their intent to return to Tajikistan in the future to explore more of its cultural and historical landmarks.
It is noteworthy that this visit takes place ahead of the important “China – Central Asia” international forum to be held this year in the Republic of Kazakhstan. In anticipation of the event, and to promote the outcomes of the first summit’s joint declaration while showcasing the broad potential of regional cooperation, CGTN has launched the media project “The Great Journey Across Central Asia” in collaboration with leading media outlets from the region.
The project runs throughout May and June this year, aiming to highlight regional cooperation processes and each country’s contributions to strengthening friendship and advancing sustainable development.
