Prime Minister of Tajikistan Meets with Director General of Russian Railways

DUSHANBE, 12.06.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda held a meeting with the Chairman of the Council for Railway Transport of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) member states and Director General of Russian Railways Oleg Belozyorov.
Recalling Tajikistan’s priorities during its CIS chairmanship, particularly the importance of strengthening economic and transport connectivity and developing logistical ties, Prime Minister emphasized that the 82nd meeting of the Council for Railway Transport of CIS member states has created favorable conditions for discussing key issues concerning the development of railway transport.
In this regard, it was noted that current geo-economic challenges demand closer coordination among CIS countries in developing a sustainable, reliable, and efficient transport infrastructure.
The meeting also featured a productive exchange of views on expanding cooperation to enhance the capacity of Tajikistan’s railway network and that of the Central Asian region, as well as exploring ways to integrate it with maritime corridors and global markets.
