Political Consultations Held Between Foreign Ministries of Tajikistan and Venezuela in Dushanbe

DUSHANBE, 19.06.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On June 17, political consultations were held in Dushanbe between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of People’s Power for International Relations of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
The Tajik delegation was led by First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ismatullo Nasredin, while the Venezuelan delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Asia, the Middle East, and Oceania Tatiana Pugh Moreno.
During the consultations, held for the first time, the parties discussed prospects for establishing and developing bilateral and multilateral relations between Tajikistan and Venezuela, cooperation within international organizations including the United Nations, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed readiness to further expand cooperation, strengthen direct contacts, and enhance the legal framework governing their relations.
Within the framework of the consultations, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed to establish a mechanism for political consultations between the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs.
It is noteworthy that in October 2025, Tajikistan and Venezuela will mark the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
