DUSHANBE, 05.09.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On September 5, in Dushanbe, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, and the Chairman of the Majlisi milli Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mayor of Dushanbe, Honorable Rustam Emomali, participated in a military parade in honor of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the National Guard of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The Commander of the National Guard of the Republic of Tajikistan, Colonel-General of the Guard, Bobojon Jamolzoda, reported to the President of the country, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, on the readiness of the personnel of the Dushanbe military garrison for the military parade.

The President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, greeting the personnel, congratulated them on the historic 30th anniversary of the establishment of the National Guard of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Before the start of the military parade, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, made a speech and expressed his thoughts on preserving the achievements of the independent state and the peaceful and calm atmosphere of this heavenly country.

The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, sincerely congratulated the noble people of Tajikistan, the personnel of the Guard, other military structures, law enforcement officers, and participants in the military parade — officers and soldiers — on the 34th anniversary of the state independence of Tajikistan and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the National Guard of the Republic of Tajikistan.

It was emphasized that the National Guard is a special unit with modern capabilities and high readiness, which plays an important role in the formation of the country’s defense system.

The Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, recalled the history of the establishment of this modern military institution and emphasized that the National Guard was established in order to protect the independence, freedom, and territorial integrity of the country, participate in the protection of important state facilities, public order, and also to perform other tasks assigned by the state leadership.

It was noted that the National Guard, like other military structures and law enforcement agencies of independent Tajikistan, was established in a very difficult and sensitive period for the country and on the basis of a special-purpose brigade.

The President of the country, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, spoke about the role and contribution of this institution, noting that the personnel of the National Guard, along with other military structures and law enforcement agencies of the country, have passed a very difficult, but honorable path from the first days of its establishment, defending the proud name of the guard with courage and loyal service to the state, homeland, and people of Tajikistan.

“The National Guard, which we established as a symbol of a new national statehood and taking into account the signs of the past history of the Tajik nation, has become a powerful military structure of special purpose, which, in turn, is one of the important factors in protecting the independence and freedom, territorial integrity of the country and the security of the state and society,” — said the Head of State, Honorable Emomali Rahmon.

It was recalled that in very sensitive and fateful years, officers and soldiers of the Guard, side by side with other military structures and law enforcement agencies of the country, made a valuable contribution to the restoration of constitutional power, the fight against terrorism and extremism, ensuring peace, stability and a peaceful life for the people of Tajikistan.

The President of the country, Emomali Rahmon, highlighted that military personnel of the Guard and in general all military structures and law enforcement agencies must have comprehensive skills and knowledge, strict military discipline, a high level of professionalism, courage and bravery, vigilance and intelligence, and be an example of loyalty and patriotism.

In connection with the very complex and sensitive conditions of the modern world, it was considered necessary to further strengthen and enhance the activities of the command and staff of the country’s military structures and the cooperation of all units of the Armed Forces in order to counter the aforementioned threats and dangers.

The leadership of the National Guard was tasked with ensuring unconditional and mandatory observance of the rule of law, strengthening political and educational work, as well as increasing the level of professionalism, skills and abilities of military personnel, and the correct selection and deployment of personnel.

After the speech of the President of the country, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, a parade of military personnel was held in honor of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the National Guard of the Republic of Tajikistan.

More than 5 thousand military personnel of the Armed Forces, power structures, personnel of law enforcement agencies, women and girls of the National Army, and defenders of law and order took part in the Military Parade in honor of this important historical date.

The National Guard of the Republic of Tajikistan is one of the branches of the Armed Forces of the country, subordinate to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, and is considered one of the reserve forces of the Head of State.

It should be noted that this influential military structure was established in January 1995 on the basis of a rapid-fire brigade called the Presidential Guard.

The Guard personnel have been serving with steadfastness and determination since the first days, defeating illegal armed groups on the battlefield in crucial moments for the nation, and have earned the trust of the Head of State and the people of Tajikistan.

Along with the personnel, a large number of various armored combat vehicles and various types of military and service vehicles were displayed on the parade ground.

The flight of combat aircraft over the venue, the skillful execution of various maneuvers by the pilots, and the roar of aircraft engines in the sky added another splendor to the military parade.
