On December 1, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, held a working meeting with the heads of the country’s security and law enforcement agencies.
The meeting discussed the current situation on the state border between Tajikistan and Afghanistan and ways to strengthen its protection.
According to officials, over the past week, two incidents of shooting on Tajik soil from across the border have occurred, resulting in five deaths and five injuries.
The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, strongly condemned the illegal and provocative actions of Afghan citizens and instructed officials to take effective measures to resolve the issue and prevent the recurrence of such unfortunate incidents.
