Tajikistan and Georgia Hold Deputy Minister-Level Political Consultations in Tbilisi

On 23 February 2026, political consultations at the level of Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs between the Republic of Tajikistan and Georgia were held in Tbilisi, led by Nigina Alizoda and Alexander Khvtisiashvili.

According to the Tajik MFA Information Department, during the consultations, the Parties conducted a comprehensive review of bilateral relations and explored avenues for further cooperation. Special attention was given to strengthening political dialogue, expanding trade and economic ties, and deepening collaboration in education, science, and culture.

Key issues on the international agenda were also discussed, including cooperation within multilateral organizations. The Parties reaffirmed their commitment to close cooperation within the frameworks of the United Nations and other international structures and underscored the importance of maintaining regular contacts at all levels.

The consultations took place in a constructive atmosphere of mutual understanding.
