By the suggestion of the President Hissar gained a status of city
Dushanbe, 03.03.2016. (NIAT “Khovar”) — Hissar gained a status of city. In this regard, members of Majlisi milli today, on March 3, have confirmed the suggestion of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan “On recognition of compliance of the Hissar district to category of the city” at the fifth session of the Upper House of Parliament of the country.
It should be noted that the idea of giving to Hissar the status of city was proposed by the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan H.E. Emomali Rahmon during the solemn celebration of Hissar’s 3000th anniversary in October 2015.
