Tajikistan — UAE discuss cooperation issues
Dushanbe, 23.04.2016. /NIAT «Khovar»/. On Friday April 22, Tajik First Deputy Foreign Minister Nizomiddin Zohidi held a meeting with the head of the governmental delegation of the United Arab Emirates led by Assistant of Foreign Minister for Economic Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, Khalid Ghanim al Ghaith, who arrved in Dushanbe to participate in the second meeting of the intergovernmental commission on trade-economic and scientific and technical cooperation, which took place in Dushanbe on April 21.
According to the Tajik MFA Information Department, the two sides discussed ways to step up bilateral cooperation in the light of the implementation of the agreements reached during the official visit of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan to the United Arab Emirates in March current year. It was stressed the need to intensify relations between the various ministries, departments and stakeholders of the two countries with a view to practical implementation of the tasks set out in the Protocol of the second meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission.
The two sides also exchanged views on issues of multilateral cooperation between the two countries and the joint struggle against the challenges and threats to regional and international security.
