Dushanbe, 17.05.2016 / NIAT «Khovar» /. The Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan H.E. Mr. Emomali Rahmon returned to homeland today evening following the completion of his official visit to the State of Kuwait.

It should be noted that at the conclusion of the official visit as a sign of sincere respect His Highness the Emir of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah saw off the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon at the Kuwait International Airport.

The official ceremony of seeing off high ranking guest President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon took place in the Great Hall of the Kuwait International Airport, with the participation of the Emir’s Honor Guard and an orchestra of wind instruments.

In the course his official visit to the State of Kuwait, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held a fruitful meeting with the Emir of the State of Kuwait and other senior officials, during which the issues of development of cooperation were discussed.

As a result of meetings and negotiations at the highest level, 6 new documents on cooperation were signed defining the relationships in the fields of foreign policy, security, science and education, transport, economy and agriculture.

In general, the two countries have signed 17 important cooperation documents, covering various areas and creating normative conditions for the expansion and strengthening of friendly relations and cooperation.

In addition, during the official visit of President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon to Kuwaiti entrepreneurs were presented the resources and opportunities, favorable investment climate created by the Government of Tajikistan for implementation of investment projects. It was emphasized that the Government of Tajikistan in order to attract foreign investment and support will study all the proposals, including with the participation of Kuwaiti companies for joint industrial and tourism development.

The President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon as well held a fruitful meeting with students and teachers of the Kuwait University where the presentation of the fourth edition of the Arabic translation of the book «Tajiks in the Mirror of History» took place with description of rich history and culture of the ancient Tajik people.

Scientists at the University named Emomali Rahmon not only well-known politician and a respected political personality of a world scale, but also an outstanding historian.
