First Deputy Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan meets Deputy Secretary General of the Standing Committee of the Chinese National People’s Congress
DUSHANBE, 17.01.2017 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The First Deputy Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan (PDPT) Saidmurod Fattohzoda has received a high-level delegation of the People’s Republic of China — representatives of the Communist Party of China led by the Deputy Secretary General of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress (NPC) Mr. Shen Chunyao.
As the correspondent of NIAT “Khovar” reports, a meeting that was held at the National Library of Tajikistan took place in a constructive and cordial atmosphere.
First Deputy Chairman of the PDPT Saidmurod Fattohzoda, calling China one of the friendly and brotherly countries, as well as a close neighbor of Tajikistan, noted that today the People’s Republic of China is a strategic partner of the Republic of Tajikistan. “The strengthening and development of friendly relations between the two countries are the priority areas of foreign policy of Tajikistan”, — he said, adding that “the two countries have good political, economic, commercial and cultural relations, which are in the interests of peoples and nations of both countries”.
The Deputy Secretary General of the NPC Standing Committee Shen Chunyao, in turn, having expressed satisfaction with the relations and cooperation between China and Tajikistan, noted that the People’s Republic of China considers Tajikistan as one of its close neighbors and will use all possibilities to strengthen relations with this friendly country.
During the meeting it was also stated that between Tajikistan and China almost 200 documents were signed that will provide favorable condition for the strengthening of bilateral relations. The volume of goods turnover between Tajikistan and China is increasing and it is more than 2 billion USD.
