Tajik films to be presented at the Kazan International Muslim Film Festival
DUSHANBE, 24.07.2017 /NIAT “Khovar”/. XIII Kazan International Muslim Film Festival will be held on September 5 – 11, 2017 in the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan. NIAT “Khovar” has been reported by the coordinator of the press service of the film festival Nargiz Aytuganova.
According to her, the film festival program included 60 films from 27 countries of the world, including two films from Tajikistan – “Breakthrough” directed by Umedsho Mirzoshirinov (the main contest program, the section “Full-length feature film”) and “Camille” directed by Safarbek Soliev ( section “Full-length documentary film”).
Kazan International Muslim Film Festival is held annually since 2005. The program of the film forum selects films bearing the ideas of peacemaking, tolerance, interethnic and interfaith harmony. The motto of the festival is “Through the dialogue of cultures to the culture of dialogue”.
