An exhibition of “Chakan” embroidery will be held in Dushanbe tomorrow
DUSHANBE, 06.07.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. An exhibition of “Chakan” embroidery /kind of Tajik women national dress/ will be organized in capital’s Sadriddin Ayni culture and recreation park.
According to the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tajikistan, the cultural event is organized by the Committee for Tourism Development under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Executive body of state authority of Dushanbe city.
The exhibition will be held with the purpose of wide propaganda of folk crafts, searching unique specimens of “chakan” to attract tourists’ attention, exploring the markets for the implementation of this national embroidery technique.
The exhibition will begin its work at 10 o’clock in the morning and will last till 18 o’clock.
The residents and guests of the capital will have an opportunity not only to get acquainted with the culture of embroidery technique “chakan”, but also to buy their favorite products.
