Women’s teams of Chinese Taipei and the Philippines advanced to the next round of the Olympic Games-2020 qualifiers
DUSHANBE, 13.11.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The matches of the 4th round of the first qualifying round of the women’s football tournament of the Olympic Games-2020 in group A were held in Hissor city of Tajikistan. NIAT “Khovar” has been reported by the press service of the Football Federation of Tajikistan.
The favorites of the group — the teams of the Philippines and Chinese Taipei won major victories. Philippine footballers beat Mongolia (5:1), while Chinese Taipei was stronger than Singapore (10:0).
Thus, for the tour to the finish of the first qualifying round, the women’s teams of Chinese Taipei and the Philippines, gaining 9 points, won a berth to the second qualifying round of the Olympic Games-2020 women’s football tournament.
The matches of the final round will be held today, November 13. Tajikistan women’s national team will play with Singapore. The match will be played in the Hissor Central Stadium at 16:00.
According to the results of the first qualifying round of the women’s football tournament of the Olympic Games-2020, the winners and teams that took second places in each group, along with the two best third teams (10 teams in total), will get berths for the second round, where the women’s teams of Vietnam and Uzbekistan have automatically gone.
The second qualifying round of the women’s football tournament of the Olympic Games-2020, where 12 teams will be divided into 3 groups, will be held on April 1-9 of the next year.
