Tajikistan and China Discuss Expansion of Inter-Legislative Relations
DUSHANBE, 05.04.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – The Deputy of the Assembly of Representatives of the Supreme Assembly of Tajikistan Jamshed Saidzoda met with a political advisor of the Chinese Embassy Chen Daiwen and diplomat Zhao Songue on April 4.
The discussion centered around the situation and prospects of the Tajik-Chinese intergovernmental cooperation and inter-legislative relations, reported the Press Centre of the Assembly of Representatives.
“The Tajik side attaches great importance to the development and enhancement of relations with China, including to the strengthening and expansion of inter-legislative ties,” noted Saidzoda.
The parties expressed their satisfaction over the development of political, economic and humanitarian ties between Tajikistan and China, and made beneficial proposals for the development of bilateral cooperation in the fields of hydropower, education and tourism.
The development of inter-legislative ties and their role in the process of regional and international integration, combating terrorism and extremism, cross-border crimes and active participation in the political and military situation of Afghanistan were also discussed.
The parties expressed their confidence that through the high-level permanent dialogue, Tajik-Chinese bilateral relations will be able to make new developments that will be beneficial for both parties in the future.
