Heads of Leading Central Asian Airlines Will Gather in Dushanbe

DUSHANBE, 13.05.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – The first round table on the development of regional civil aviation for the heads of Central Asian airlines will be held today in Dushanbe.

The event is initiated by Somon Air with the support of the Civil Aviation Agency under the government of Tajikistan and the International Air Transport Association, reported the Press Centre of Somon Air.

The round table is a unique opportunity to discuss regional problems hindering the development of aviation in the region, as well as issues of joint work of airlines, governments and a wide range of stakeholders to improve the regulatory environment in Central Asian countries in order to further develop civil aviation, increase passenger traffic and expand route networks.
The round table participants intend to discuss a review of the current advantages of aviation in the region and economic prospects for the coming years, as well as regional barriers for further development, navigation based on performance, stable supply of aviation fuel and analysis of airport charges in the region and other issues.

Heads of Somon Air (Tajikistan), Air Astana (Kazakhstan), SCAT (Kazakhstan), QAZAQ Air (Kazakhstan), Uzbekistan Airways (Uzbekistan) and Avia Traffic (Kyrgyzstan) are expected to participate.

Representatives of the International Air Transport Association will participate in the round table as observers and experts.
