Emomali Rahmon: «Rule of law is key to state stability and peaceful society»

DUSHANBE, 14.07.2026 (NIAT Khovar) – President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon has emphasized the importance of the rule of law, legal awareness and access to legal services as key factors for strengthening state institutions and ensuring social stability.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the new building of the Ministry of Justice in Dushanbe, the President said that respect for the law is the foundation of a stable state, a guarantee of social justice and an essential condition for peaceful life.

Emomali Rahmon highlighted the role of justice authorities in improving public legal awareness, preventing crime and developing a legal culture within society.

He noted that Tajikistan has established the state institution “Legal Aid Centre” to provide free legal assistance to vulnerable groups, including women, children, persons with disabilities, migrants and low-income families.

The President also pointed to ongoing reforms in the legal sector, including the introduction of e-government systems, digitalization of public services, development of centralized legal information databases, and modernization of notary and civil registration services.

“Respect for the law ensures social stability, protection of national interests, economic development and the strengthening of national statehood,” Emomali Rahmon said.

The President also noted that during the years of independence, modern justice service buildings have been constructed in 33 cities and districts across the country, while administrative facilities in five other districts have been renovated and equipped with modern infrastructure.
