Tajik Minister of Culture Will Participate in Today’s SCO Ministerial Meeting
DUSHANBE, 15.05.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – The 16th Meeting of the Ministers of Culture of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) will be held today in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
The meeting participants are expected to discuss the state and prospects of cooperation in the field of culture, the implementation of agreements between the SCO member states, the inclusion of cultural heritage sites of the SCO member states in the UNESCO World Heritage List and the Silk Road Festival in the SCO member states in 2021.
The list of attendees includes the Minister of Culture of Tajikistan Shamsiddin Orumbekzoda, First Deputy Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan Ozodbek Nazarbekov, Minister of Culture and Sports of Kazakhstan Arystanbek Mukhamediuly, Deputy Minister of Culture of Russia Nikolay Ovsienko, member of the governing structure of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China Wang Xiaofeng, Deputy Minister of Culture of India Sri Arun Goel and SCO Deputy Secretary General Xie Xiaoyun.
