Tajik Specialists Working on Adding Sughd’s Cultural and Historical Monuments to UNESCO’s World Heritage List
DUSHANBE, 02.10.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – A four-day training on the protection and promotion of historical and cultural monuments located in the Fergana-Syr Darya corridor of the Great Silk Road is taking place in Khujand, reported the Ministry of Culture of Tajikistan.
The training is attended by historians, cultural experts, and Sughd’s city and district officials.
The event is organized by UNESCO’s Regional Office and the European Union.
International experts will familiarize the participants with the methods of preparing documentation and presenting the cultural and historical monuments of Sughd to UNESCO’s World Heritage List.
