Somon Air Got a New Airbus H125 Helicopter
DUSHANBE, 18.11.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – Somon Air showcased its Airbus H125 helicopter at the Dushanbe International Airport on Friday.
Representatives of the government, diplomatic corps accredited in Tajikistan, partner companies, as well as travel agencies and the media attended the ceremony.
“I am sure our cooperation will develop. A memorandum of understanding was signed between Somon Air and the Airbus group of companies, within the framework of which in the near future we intend to add five more helicopters and an Airbus aircraft to our fleet,» said Somon Air’s Chief Executive Officer Thomas W. Hallam II.
The H125 helicopter was assembled in Kazakhstan by Eurocopter Kazakhstan Engineering LLP and it is the first helicopter registered and operated in Tajikistan.
The implementation of this project was made possible through active participation, financing and the support of the Export Insurance Company «Kazakh Export» JSC and Orienbank OJSC, as well as with the support of the Embassy of Tajikistan in Kazakhstan.
