Deputy PM Ibrohim Says Doctors Actively Examining People at Borders
DUSHANBE, 29.01.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, the Deputy Prime Minister of Tajikistan Azim Ibrohim held a working meeting about taking additional measures against the coronavirus. The meeting took place per President Emomali Rahmon instructions.
The heads of ministries of health and social protection of the population, foreign affairs, interior, education and science, transport, agriculture, industry and new technologies, committees for food safety, architecture and construction, tourism development, television and radio, custom services, Tojikstandard agency and representatives of relevant structures attended the meeting.
Ibrohim said that at present, 2 to 5 health workers and epidemiologists are working around the clock at 27 large and small checkpoints operating on the border with neighboring countries.
“Also, the Health Ministry and its related structures are taking additional measures to prevent the disease,” Ibrohim emphasized.
He noted that President Emomali Rahmon had instructed the relevant authorities to take strictly control the border crossing points.
