DUSHANBE, 15.12.2020 (NIAT Khovar) – The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held a meeting with Government member.
The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Kokhir Rasulzoda, his deputies, as well as the Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office, the Mayor of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali, the Governor of Sughd, that of Khatlon Province, chairs of capital districts, cities and districts of republican subordination.
Government agency officials, representatives from state institutions and banks also attended the meeting.
The focus entered on the situation in agriculture and food industry, price control in consumer markets, providing electricity to rural and remote areas, as well as sustainably supplying food, landscaping, effective use of household and presidential lands, preparing for spring planting, and creation of new jobs.
Preparation for the upcoming celebration of the 30th anniversary of state independence and SCO summit of the Council of Heads of State, as well as the CSTO summit of heads of states, which will take place in Dushanbe in 2021 were also discussed.
Due to the increase in electricity demand during the winter season, President Rahmon instructed state officials to establish working groups on the efficient energy use, and to promote energy conservation.
He emphasized that every family, state institution, and company should strive to conserve electricity and prevent energy losses.
President Rahmon also touched upon on effective use of household and presidential land, proper use of which can help provide the population with agricultural product and regulate prices in the consumer market.
According to the United Nations, over 270 million people will face acute food insecurity in 2021. Therefore it is advisable to increase the area of arable land in order to increase the total volume of agricultural production.
While analyzing the landscaping activities for the upcoming celebration of the 30th anniversary of independence, President Rahmon noted that in accordance with the approved action plan, the aim included the construction of 9,000 new facilities, 65 percent which have already been built.
In order to provide the population with essential goods, officials were instructed to organize farmers’ markets with affordably priced goods.
Instruction were also issued for providing material assistance to orphans, and those with disabilities on the eve of the New Year.
President Rahmon also called for a fair and objective conclusion of the competition Furughi Subhi Donoi Kitob Ast which was organized by his initiative for promoting the discovery of talents. It was also stressed that the participants and winners of the competition should be encouraged to further develop their talents by the chairmen of regions, cities and districts of their residence.
