Tajikistan and Russia Discuss Labor Migration Cooperation

DUSHANBE, 02.12.2020 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, the Minister of Labor, Migration and Employment of the Population Shirin Amonzoda met with the Russian Ambassador to Tajikistan Igor Lyakin — Frolov to discuss strengthening cooperation in the field of labor migration, registration, stay and employment of Tajik labor migrants in Russia.
The parties also discussed the development of a unified statistical system, the life of labor migrants in Russia, training and organization of mobilization of labor migrants during a pandemic by charter flights to Russia, creation of a joint center for training specialists in various areas of the labor market in Tajikistan, as well as the development of a joint program on labor migration.
An agreement was also reached to create a center for training specialists in the socio-economic sphere in the labor market and mobilize citizens for permanent jobs in Russia.
