President Emomali Rahmon Presides Over the Government’s Session

DUSHANBE, 01.03.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – President Emomali Rahmon presided over a session of the government.
The availability of lands, their distribution by categories, types and land users as of January 1, 2021 were on the agenda. A report on this issue was delivered by the Chairman of the State Committee on Land Management and Geodesy Orif Khojazoda.
President Rahmon instructed relevant ministries and government agencies regarding confirming of distribution of land by groups and as much as possible to restore land disposed of from agricultural use in order to increase agricultural production.
Government members also discussed the bills which have been submitted to the Assembly of Representatives for consideration, including the draft laws on the access to information, on activity of the courts, changes to code of administrative offences, status of military servicemen, on drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors, as well as on obligatory payments to the budget, on pastures, on public associations, additional education, and employment assistance.
Part of the meeting centered on the National Program for Tuberculosis Protection of the Population for 2021-2025, Combating HIV/AIDS for 2021-2025, Immunoprevention for 2021-2025, Affordable Environment for 2021-2025, Development Program for Housing and Communal Services for 2021-2024, and the proposal of Assembly of People’s Deputies in Dushanbe to change borders of Shohmansur, Firdavsi, Sino and Ismoili Somoni districts, proposal of the Assembly of People’s Deputies of Khatlon Region on renaming some settlements, proposal of the Assembly of People’s Deputies of Tojikobod district on renaming of certain settlements, and on opening the branch of the Management Development Institute of Singapore in Dushanbe.
President Rahmon called for the timely fulfillment of the set tasks and instructed government members to prepare for the upcoming historical 30th anniversary of independence, as well as the Navruz celebrations at no extra cost and in a frugal manner.
