Tajik Ambassador Meets First Vice President of Afghanistan

DUSHANBE, 20.04.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – On April 18 in Kabul, the Ambassador of Tajikistan Sadi Sharifi met with the First Vice President of Afghanistan Amrullah Saleh.
Saleh conveyed the gratitude of the Afghan President Muhammad Ashraf Ghani for the warm welcome and the hosting of the Heart of Asia — Istanbul Process Ninth Ministerial Conference in Dushanbe.
He stressed that the relations between Tajikistan and Afghanistan are unique, and the two countries support each other in all regional and international organizations.
Saleh added that in accordance with the agreement reached between the Presidents of Tajikistan and Afghanistan in Dushanbe, the two countries will further strengthen cooperation in the fight against common threats on the border.
Sharifi recalled the special attention President Rahmon pays to the issue of Afghanistan and reiterated the constant support of Tajikistan of the Afghan state in all areas, especially in the current peace process.
