Ahmadzoda and Miyashita Discuss Prospects for Bilateral Cooperation

DUSHANBE, 27.05.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – There are numerous resources and opportunities for strengthening cooperation, and a number of projects are being implemented with the support of the Japanese Embassy. This was stated by the Chairman of Sughd Rajabboy Ahmadzoda at a meeting with the Japanese Ambassador to Tajikistan Takayuki Miyashita.
The officials expressed their satisfaction with the development of bilateral relations and discussed the prospects for cooperation.
Ahmadzoda noted that projects related to the drinking water supply system in Loik Sherali rural community of Panjikent have been implemented, the construction of an irrigation canal in the Ivan-Tojik rural community of Kuhistoni Mastchoh district has been completed, equipment for a service center for adults and people with disabilities in Istaravshan has been delivered, and the rehabilitation center for children with disabilities has been built in Khujand.
Miyashita said that representatives of the Embassy will take part in the opening ceremony of these facilities.
Ambassador Miyashita along with other officials will visit historical and cultural sites of Panjikent, Istaravshan and Khujand to get acquainted with the ancient history and culture of the Tajik people.
