Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia Hold Ministerial Political Consultations

DUSHANBE, 27.05.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia held the first round of ministerial political consultations via videoconference.
The delegations were headed by the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Khusrav Noziri and the Under-Secretary for Political and Economic Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia Eid Althakafi.
The consultations focused on the current state and prospects for the development of cooperation between the two countries in political, economic, trade, investment, energy and tourism spheres.
The parties also exchanged views on the interaction of the two countries within the framework of international and regional organizations, as well as other regional and international issues of mutual concern.
Bbilateral relations between Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia are developing consistently and purposefully in all areas. In this context, the importance of projects implemented by the Islamic Development Bank and the Saudi Fund for Development in Tajikistan was stressed.
Following the consultations, the parties expressed the readiness and mutual interest in further developing friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries in all areas.
