FM Muhirriddin Meets Saudi Arabian Counterpart in Tashkent

DUSHANBE, 16.07.2021. (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday in Tashkent, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirojiddin Muhriddin met with his Saudi Arabian counterpart, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the International Conference Central and South Asia: Regional Connectivity, Challenges and Opportunities.
The meeting focused on the issues of expanding bilateral relations between Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia in various fields and cooperation within the framework of international and regional organizations.
The parties also discussed issues of combating terrorism and extremism, strengthening security, peace and stability in the region and the current situation in Afghanistan.
Muhriddin also congratulated his counterpart on the accession of his country to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization as a Dialogue Partner.
