DUSHANBE, 22.09.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon arrived in Rasht district to get acquainted with the living conditions of the population and to attend the gala dedicated to the 30th anniversary of state independence.
Upon arrival, President Rahmon took part in the opening of a Service Center and the Regional Passenger Terminal. The two establishments created 400 new jobs.
This was followed by the opening ceremony of the military unit staff of the Rapid Reaction Forces of the Ministry of Defense, which in turn was followed by the opening ceremony of the Educational Institution 35 in Rasht district.
The opening ceremony of the administrative building of Navobod community and housing for civil servants, with the opening ceremony of the kindergarten Akhtarak followed the list.
Handing over the keys to flats in a multistory building consisting of 48 units to civil servants, President Rahmon instructed them to serve faithfully in the interests of the state and the nation.
Meeting with 60 orphans from Rasht, Nurobod, and Tojikobod, President Rahmon presented them with material and cash assistance packages.
He stressed that the upbringing of a well-rounded person, especially orphaned children, is one of the goals of the government’s social policy.
Following the inspection of the state of development of horticulture in the intensive farm Payvand-Rasht, which specializes in growing a variety of apples and pears, President Rahmon visited the Exhibition of Agricultural Products, National Cuisine and Handicrafts. He also attended the Exhibition of Rasht, which showcased its industrial goods.
According to statistics, the district’s farmers utilized 7663 hectares of land, which is 24.3 hectares more than last year.
The total volume of agricultural production has amounted to 68.6 million somoni, which is 801,000 somoni more than last year. The growth rate is 101.2%.
The value of goods produced in Rasht district is over 12 million somoni, which is 349,000 somoni more than last year.
