Assembly of Representatives Speaker Meets the Head of the Turkish-Tajik Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group

DUSHANBE, 13.10.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday in Ankara, Speaker of the Assembly of Representatives Mahmadtoir Zokirzoda met with the head of the Turkish-Tajik Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group Ahmed Uzer.
According to the Press Secretary of the Assembly of Representatives Muhammadato Sultonov, the officials noted the need to expand contacts, visits of parliamentary delegations to countries, and exchange experience in this area.
The parties also noted the role of Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Groups as an important factor in further developing the multifaceted cooperation between the parliaments of Tajikistan and Turkey.
The parties also exchanged views on the state of relations and cooperation in the political, economic, trade, investment, industrial, educational, and cultural, tourism spheres.
On the same day, a parliamentary delegation led by Zokirzoda visited the mausoleum of the founder and first leader of the Turkish People’s Republican Party, the first President of Turkey Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, and as a sign of respect laid a wreath at the pedestal of the monument to this great historical figure.
