DUSHANBE, 05.10.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon had a telephone conversation with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

During the telephone conversation, Vladimir Putin offered his warmest birthday greetings to Emomali Rahmon. While offering his best wishes, President Putin noted the considerable success of Tajikistan under the wise leadership of President Rahmon.

The two leaders discussed the strategic partnership between Tajikistan and Russia, as well as the prospects for its further development.

Particular attention was paid to the issues of boosting cooperation between the two countries in terms of security, including facilitation of the material and technical protection of the Tajik-Afghan border amid the recent developments in Afghanistan.

The parties agreed to continue regular contacts concerning Afghanistan.
