President Emomali Rahmon Visited Sughd Region

DUSHANBE, 07.10.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon visited Sughd to review its socio-economic development, and to take part in the opening of the facilities dedicated to the 30th anniversary of independence, as well as to hold a meeting with the locals.
His visit began with the opening ceremony of the new renovated building for the VIP lounge in Khujand’s airport. While in Khujand, President Rahmon also met with the orphaned children and provided them with material and cash assistance.
The unveiling ceremonies for the Duoi Modar monument in the territory of the Khujand International Airport, a new terminal which cost 220 million somoni from the financial resources of the airport, the asbestos slate manufacturing plants with a capacity of 500 pieces of asbestos slate per day in Buston, followed the list.
The new building of Khujand International Air Terminal will be able to serve up to 400-500 passengers at a time.
Next, he attended the opening ceremonies of a newly built Vorisoni Ilm private education institution that will conduct classes in Russian, English, and Chinese for 460 students, as well as the state-of-the-art building of Zarzamin Rural Health Center in Bobojon Ghafurov.
Continuing his working trip in Bobojon Ghafurov, President Rahmon opened a two story Zarzamin preschool which was built through local government’s fund.
Likewise, President Rahmon attended the opening ceremony of a Mahzani Ilm kindergarten built by a businesswoman Gulandom Vositova, which cost 1.1 million somoni. The kindergarten will conduct classes in Russian, English, and Chinese.
This was followed by the opening of the Durakhshandagon educational complex built by local entrepreneurs, which in turn was followed by the opening ceremony of the Shukufahoi Istiklol preschool for 160 children, which cost 1.8 somoni to build.
President Rahmon evaluated the quality of construction works, and instructed the teachers to pay serious attention to the level and quality of education, and to make a valuable contribution to the upbringing of intelligent, healthy, and educated children, as they are the future of the nation.
