Chairman of the CESCD and Members of the European Parliament Exchange Views on Possible Common Aspects of Cooperation
DUSHANBE, 23.02.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – On February 21, the Chairman of the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense (CESCD) Rustam Nazarzoda met with the delegation of the European Parliament members led by the Chair of the Committee on Foreign Affairs David McAllister.
The meeting focused on issues of bilateral cooperation, as well as the situation in the region and issues related to the reduction of the risk of natural disasters.
The guests were provided with information about the main activities of the committee, natural disasters, the elimination of their consequences, the provision of assistance by the government and international organizations to the affected population, as well as the cooperation of the committee with the European Union.
The parties also exchanged views on possible common aspects and measures to establish practical cooperation.
