Continuation of President’s Working Visit to Sughd Region

DUSHANBE, 09.02.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – In the second day of his working visit to Sughd the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President Emomali Rahmon attended the opening ceremony for the new building of the Bobuna school constructed in the town of Sirdaryo in Guliston.
A school’s renovation cost 3 million somoni. It was also provided with the necessary visual aids for the education of up to 180 children. Special attention is being paid to teaching Russian and English languages.
The school features game halls, a gym, a music hall, and other auxiliary rooms.
The opening of the administrative building of the Executive Committee of the People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan in Guliston, and the building of the state institution for additional education in Guliston with 500 seats built by local entrepreneurs followed the list.
President Rahmon also attended the unveiling of a monument to the hero of the Tajik people Temurmalik and reopened the cultural and amusement park named after Temurmalik in Guliston.
In 1219-1220, during the invasion of foreigners, Temurmalik with great feats for the defense of his homeland showed courage and a strong sense of patriotism. Today he is remembered as a hero of the Tajik people.
The park named was opened in 1991 and after 30 years was in need of reconstruction and renovation.
During his meeting with 80 orphans of Asht and Guliston, President Rahmon presented them with cash assistance and emphasized that the government pays comprehensive attention to the low-income segment of the population, especially orphans.
While visiting the National Garden Vahdat in Bobojon Ghafurov, President Rahmon put into operation an irrigation water line which runs from a depth of 40 meters and is designed to irrigate 20 hectares of land. There he planted apricot saplings and laid the foundation for the creation of an intensive garden.
He also inspected the exhibition of thoroughbred animals, cattle and camels for the production of milk and meat, as well as horses, breeding sheep, and goats.
Dairy and poultry farms and other economic entities of the livestock industry presented various types of livestock at the exhibition.
