President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon Visits Egypt’s New Administrative Capital

DUSHANBE, 11.03.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon visited Egypt’s New Administrative Capital.
He got familiar with the progress of the construction of Egypt’s New Administrative Capital, which started in 2016 and is proceeding at a rapid pace.
Once complete, the city will cover 688 km2 and will consists of 20 neighborhoods and will be home to 6.5 million citizens.
The most prominent neighborhoods in the capital are the governmental neighborhood encompassing the headquarters of the ministries, parliament, the business neighborhood, and the diplomatic neighborhood.
The new capital is called the New Administrative City and is located about 70 kilometers east of Cairo.
The need to build this city was due to the high population density of the current capital of the country.
Following his acquaintance with the Egypt’s New Administrative Capital, President Rahmon wished prosperity to the friendly country and success to the people of Egypt.
