Tajikistan and China Stress the Need to Intensify Cooperation in the Fight Against Terrorism and Extremism

DUSHANBE, 30.05.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – On May 28, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Farhod Salim met with the Special Representative of the Chinese Ministry of the Foreign Affairs on External Security Cheng Guoping who arrived in Dushanbe to attend the Fourth Regional Dialogue of National Security Advisers/Secretaries of Security Councils on Afghanistan.
The meeting focused on bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the field of security and noted the importance of taking joint action to overcome the negative consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The parties stressed the need to intensify cooperation in the fight against terrorism, extremism, separatism, as well as organized crime and illicit drug trafficking.
