Tajikistan and Iran Discuss Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation

DUSHANBE, 23.08.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, Speaker of the National Assembly Mahmadtoir Zokirzoda met with the Chairman of the Parliamentary Friendship Group of Iran and Tajikistan, member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee Jalil Rahimi.
National Assembly and the Majlis of the Islamic Council of Iran with the signing of the memorandum of inter-parliamentary cooperation on October 20, 2011 laid the legal basis for bilateral cooperation.
Rahimi assessed the visit of the Iran’s parliamentary delegation to Tajikistan as the beginning of a new chapter in the process of parliamentary relations and called for strengthening cooperation between the parliaments through the activation of friendship groups.
