President Emomali Rahmon Attends CSTO summit in Armenia

DUSHANBE, 23.11.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon took part in a regular session of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation.
The session held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan. The leader of the CSTO member nation met in a restricted format and then the talks continued in an extended format with members of the delegations.
The summit participants discussed the topical issues of international and regional security and the main results of the activities of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
The head of state once again noted the importance of strengthening the protection of the Tajik-Afghan state border, as the southern border of the CSTO region.
While summed up the results of the chairmanship of the Republic of Armenia in the Collective Security Treaty Organization, President Emomali Rahmon, expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan for organizing the session at a high level and for the work done during CSTO chairmanship and wished success to the President of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko with the assuming the CSTO chairmanship.
President Emomali Rahmon, also noted the effective work of the Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Stanislav Zas and wished success to the newly appointed head of the Organization, Imangali Tasmagambetov. A package of documents was signed following the session of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
