Dushanbe Hosts an Event on the Basic Principles of Relations Between China and Tajikistan

DUSHANBE, 11.04.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, the Assembly of Representatives hosted an event on the topic “oint declaration on the basic principles of relations between China and Tajikistan, as the basis for the formation and development of the political and legal framework for bilateral relations.”
The event was attended by the leadership of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Industry and New Technologies, Energy and Water Resources, Economic Development and Trade, Education and Science, Agriculture, Transport, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Friendship and Cooperation Group of the Assembly of Representatives and the National People’s Congress, representatives of the Embassy of China in Tajikistan.
It was noted that today, thanks to the political foresight of the leadership of the two states and a comprehensive review of historical experience, bilateral cooperation has taken on a new form and contributed to the further positive development of relations between Tajikistan and China. This lays a solid foundation for the further development of mutually beneficial cooperation. China is a strategic partner of Tajikistan. Strengthening and development of bilateral relations of friendship and cooperation with this state is one of the priorities of the foreign policy of Tajikistan.
The Declaration on the Basic Principles of Relations between Tajikistan and China was signed on March 9, 1993. This document laid a solid legal foundation for the development of bilateral relations in the interests of the peoples of both countries.
The participants expressed their views on mutually beneficial cooperation between the two states and plans for the future.
