Speaker of the National Assembly Rustam Emomali Attends the Opening Ceremony of the Bust of Abuabdullo Rudaki in Beijing

DUSHANBE, 23.08.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – On August 22, the Speaker of the National Assembly, Chairman of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali visited Beijing University of Language and Culture.
It was reported that Beijing Language and Culture University is one of the oldest and most prestigious educational institutions in China, in the 2022-2023 academic year, 9,000 foreign students from around the world are studying in it. In terms of the number of foreign students, the university ranks first in China.
Here, Speaker of the National Assembly took part and spoke at the opening ceremony of the bust of the founder of classical Persian-Tajik literature Abuabdullo Rudaki.
In his speech, Rustam Emomali emphasized that after millennia, Rudaki’s poetry also calls on people to strengthen friendship between peoples and expand the dialogue between civilizations. Rudaki played a key role in the formation of Eastern literature, and his unique poetry enriched the treasures of world literature.
He thanked the Chinese Government, the People’s Government of Beijing, as well as creative workers for creating a bust of Rudaki in Beijing.
It should be noted that the project of the bust was prepared in agreement with the Embassy of Tajikistan in China and the Chinese Jintai Museum by the famous sculptor Yuan Xikong.
