Dushanbe to Host Regional Meeting of Members of the Dialogue of Central Asian Women Leaders

DUSHANBE, 12.09.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – On September 14, as part of the Fifth Consultative Meeting of the Heads of Central Asian States and the regular meeting of the Council of Heads of the Founding States of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea, Dushanbe will host a Regional Meeting of the Members of the Dialogue of Central Asian Women Leaders on the topic “Achieving Gender Equality in the Context of Adaptation to Climate Change in Central Asia.”
The meeting will consist of two panel sessions, where participants and guests will analyze and discuss the issues “Achieving gender equality in the context of adaptation to climate change and natural disasters in Central Asia” and “Environmental initiatives in Central Asia in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals.”
The participants will draw up recommendations for cooperation, and following the meeting, members of the dialogue will issue a statement to the heads of state.
It is expected that the participants will get acquainted with the exhibition of folk crafts at the National Museum, visit the Kokhi Navruz complex and take part in the cultural program “Evening of Friendship.”
The guests are also expected to visit the Norak HPP.
