Strategy for the Development of Social Protection of the Population of Tajikistan for the Period until 2040 Discussed in Dushanbe

DUSHANBE, 03.10.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – A round table was held today in Dushanbe to consider the implementation of the Strategy for the Development of Social Protection of the Population of Tajikistan for the period until 2040.
The event was attended by representatives of the ministries of health and social protection of the population, education and science, labor, migration and employment, related departments and international organizations.
According to Deputy Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population Shodikhon Jamshed, the Strategy was developed by the ministry taking into account the National Development Strategy of Tajikistan for the period until 2030, the experience of implementing previous programs for social protection of the population, and a general analysis of the current state of the spheres of social protection of the population and in accordance with the new approach of the world community to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals.
“It defines the main tasks and directions of the state policy of Tajikistan in the field of social protection of the population for the next 15 years,” added the deputy minister.
